Al Doeve combines over 25 years in industry as an experienced fundraiser and airline, energy, manufacturing, mass transit and technology services director. He has a lifetime record of community service activity at the national, state and local levels.

Al grows client capacity and capability to drive results. Most recently, $34M project to fund public education innovation and a $2.5M economic development initiative were impacted by his leadership and NCDS process management. In business, Al contributed to performance and profitability successes with such nationally known brands such as TWA, Snapper, CellularONE, MARTA, AGL Resources and SONY Entertainment. He has supported quality of life initiatives on the (Atlanta) Regional Business Coalition executive committee, as chamber board chair, as a corporate c-level consultant and as the leader of professional associations and youth sports organizations.

Backed by the strength of applied NCDS models for effective campaign management, Al brings unique skills to help leaders articulate a business case that binds communities to a vision and nurtures a far-reaching consensus. Taken together with NCDS’s Economic Strategy Center’s research-based campaign impact assessment, these skills help meet and exceed client expectations.

With an ability to clarify and amplify effective programs of work, Al reinforced Georgia’s South Fulton Chamber’s value proposition through strategic planning and incubation of a Community Improvement District. He served as Vice President of the (Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International) Airport Chamber of Commerce and as program director for the area’s Leadership for Tomorrow initiative. He also served as president of the International Customer Service Association/Georgia Chapter, as mentor for women executives through Atlanta’s Pathbuilders program and as adjunct staff at Atlanta Technical College, recently named “America’s Best Technical College.” Al successfully delivered mayor and council facilitation and municipal customer service training for two Atlanta area cities (College Park, population 20,500; Forest Park, population 21,500).

Al Doeve further leverages business counsel with the Baldrige Model for Performance Excellence, a U.S. guideline for organizational effectiveness. He serves as a 4th year team leader and senior examiner with the Georgia Oglethorpe Award Process and has audited performance at top for-profit as well as non-profit organizations in the education, health and manufacturing sectors. Al is a youth sports advocate and national licensed coach, having served at the national, state, district and club levels with the United States Soccer Federation and its Missouri as well as Georgia affiliates.

Raised in Indonesia, the Netherlands and California, Al Doeve served with the U.S. Armed Forces and became a naturalized citizen in 1970. He earned a language arts B.A. from the University of Massachusetts and has continued post-graduate studies, recently completing United Way of Atlanta Board of Directors training and the Executive Leadership Program at Emory’s Goizueta Business School. Al and his spouse Maggie have raised a family and reside in Peachtree City, Georgia.
