Reed Benson
Project Director

Reed W. Benson, Project Director, provides hands-on direction of client campaigns, including campaign organization and operations, as well as prospect solicitation. His most recent assignment was a Colorado project in which he implemented a fast track campaign, raising $3 million for the Montrose Economic Development Corporation.

Reed is known as one of the most energetic and focused of NCDS’ Project Directors and exhibits a keen aptitude for economic development, public policy and community leadership development.

Following completion of course work at the Economic Development Institute at Georgia Tech in 2006, Reed has been immersed in fundraising operations, campaign technology and database management. In addition to the Montrose campaign, Reed has worked on campaigns for the Manhattan Kansas Chamber of Commerce, the Oconee County GA Commission, Virginia LISC, The International Storytelling Center and Early County 2055, an economic revitalization project in a small town in Southwest Georgia.

Reed is particularly adept in working with elected officials to gain public sector support, engaging local leadership and grant writing.

Reed attended Truett McConnell College and holds a BFA from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. He is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He and his wife, Tiffany and their two young sons live in Atlanta and both enjoy the vibrant city life Atlanta offers, but are also avid about fishing and the outdoors.
