“We bring a roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic and passion to fundraising. It is my greatest satisfaction to dig in to a project, and join with the volunteers and staff of our client organizations to help them achieve their goals.”
A West Point graduate, former U.S. Army Military Intelligence Officer, and former practicing attorney, Sean brings to TeamNCDS a well-honed set of leadership and analytical skills developed in a variety of intense operational environments.
Prior to assuming his current duties as a Senior Officer and Project Team Leader, Sean led NCDS Operations. In this role, Sean ensured that each client project succeeded through the skillful application of proven NCDS methodologies, frequent site visits, interaction with on-site project directors, and by channeling appropriate NCDS resources to each campaign, thereby influencing the direction and progress of NCDS campaigns.
Sean has also personally managed successful campaigns from start to finish. He directed campaigns for NCDS raising over $2.6 million for Operation New Birmingham in Birmingham, AL, and over $3 million to fund the Council for America’s First Freedom’s “First Freedom Center” in Richmond, VA. Both of these campaigns exceeded their respective goals.
Before joining NCDS, Sean practiced law as an associate at a large labor and employment law firm headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Sean earned his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law where he graduated cum laude in 2001.
Sean earned his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and spent five years as a Military Intelligence Officer in the United States Army. As a cadet at West Point, Sean excelled in an exceedingly rigorous environment validating the trust placed in him by former United States Senator Paul Simon who appointed Sean to the Academy. Sean was selected to be a Company First Sergeant, Honor Committee Representative, and Honor Board President.
After graduating from West Point, Sean was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant into the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Corps where he held a variety of positions to include: Infantry Battalion Intelligence Officer, Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, and Brigade Executive Officer. Sean departed the Army for law school after five years of service and obtaining the rank of Captain.
In addition to his “day job,” Sean volunteers with a variety of not-for-profit groups, such as the Atlanta Jaycees, and Metro Atlanta Respite and Development Services.
Sean’s home is Atlanta, Georgia. In his free time, he enjoys the culture, sports, and social establishments of Atlanta, spending time with friends, working out, and reading—especially in a good coffee shop.
