White Paper: ROI Fundraising



By their very nature, fundraising campaigns for Chambers of Commerce and Economic Development Organizations differ from traditional philanthropy campaigns in one key regard:  donors do not necessarily experience the “warm glow and satisfaction of helping a good cause” that they get from other nonprofits.  This is precisely why we prefer the term “investor” over “donor.”  And by definition, an investor expects a return on his, or her, investment.
